On Thursday 14th May, two teams of our talented Year 5 children took part in an exciting cricket tournament, showcasing fantastic skill, determination, and team spirit throughout the day.
One of the teams had a closely contested set of matches, winning one game and narrowly losing the other by just a single run – an incredibly tight result! Despite this, they showed great resilience and positivity, securing a place in the 11th/12th play-off. They went on to win this match, finishing their tournament on a high and demonstrating excellent teamwork and perseverance.
Our second team had an exceptional start to the competition, winning both of their games and earning a well-deserved place in the final. In the final, they faced a very experienced Marown team. The children gave it their all and played brilliantly, finishing in an impressive second place overall.
Both teams played amazingly throughout the tournament, supporting each other every step of the way and representing the school with pride. Their great team spirit and positive attitude were a joy to see.
A special thank you goes to the parents who came along to cheer the teams on. Your support was greatly appreciated and helped make the day even more enjoyable.
