Our school badminton team had a fantastic afternoon at the Badminton Festival! We were placed in Pool 1, competing against Ballacottier, Peel, CYB, and Ashley Hill – a very tough group, with Ballacottier going on to win the entire festival and Peel receiving the award for 'Best Boys Team'.
Despite the challenging start, our players showed great determination and skill. We finished third in the group, which placed us in the third-place pool for the next round. From there, we really hit our stride – winning all of our matches in that pool!
Every member of the team performed brilliantly, and their teamwork and perseverance were outstanding. With an easier group at the start, we might have been fighting for first place, but we are incredibly proud of how well everyone played.
Well done to all involved – a fantastic effort and a great afternoon of badminton!
