Scoill Vallajeelt

"We are a learning community, working together to provide a safe, caring and supportive environment.
Our learning journey will be creative, challenging and personalised...
to be the best we can."

On Tuesday 18th June, we took part in the Eastern Primary Netball Festival. We took two teams, Scoill Vallajeelt and Meadow Campus.

Scoill Vallajeelt was a team of year 5 girls and for many this was their first experience playing in a netball tournament. They worked well as a team and helped each other with their positions. The team finished 5th overall with the most impressive game being when they beat Scoill yn Jubilee 2-0. I really hope these girls continue playing in year 6!

Meadow Campus was a mix of girls from year 6 at Vallajeelt and year 5 at St. Thomas’s. They won three games 7-0, 5-0 and 9-0 and lost two games 2-1 and 7-1. This meant the team finished in 3rd place just missing out on the finals. They played some very impressive netball and were noticeably moving quickly down the court and communicating effectively.

A big thank you to the parents who helped transport the children up to Bemahague and cheered us on throughout the tournament.

Well done to all who took part!
