On Saturday 1st July, Scoill Vallajeelt football team took part in the Millennium Football Tournament.
Primary schools from all over the Island came together at Union Mills Football Club to play each other and for one team to be crowned the winner.
The team played in a variety of positions during the tournament and also were subbed to make sure that all members of the team could play.
A particular highlight of one match was when our goalie (Jasper) took a huge goal kick and managed to score across the length of the pitch!
The team played extremely well together consistently making some excellent passes, good tackles, fabulous ball control and taking carefully-aimed shots at goal. They were well-supported by parents, carers and families who inspired them with encouragement.
At the end of the morning, Vallajeelt came joint 5th out of 32 schools and Mr. George was extremely pleased with their performance.
