Douglas Borough Council asked schools in the local area to help plant 70 trees to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee. The trees were planted at the side of the new cycle lane at the side of Douglas Golf Course and Scoill Vallajeelt went on Tuesday 9th February to plant 10 trees. Mr. George took all the children in school who have their birthdays in February and they dug holes, planted the tree and then filled the soil back in.
