The girls’ football teams delivered a strong performance at the recent tournament, with both teams finishing third in their group. This was an excellent achievement, particularly given the high standard of opposition they faced throughout the day.

The squads came up against several experienced teams, many with older players. In comparison, our teams were very young, with only one player from Year 6 across both squads. Despite this, the girls competed confidently and showed great determination in every match.

A number of games were extremely close and could easily have gone either way, often being decided by fine margins. The girls worked hard for one another, showed great teamwork and continued to improve as the tournament progressed. They displayed resilience, stayed positive, and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship throughout.

Overall, this was a highly encouraging experience for the girls. They should be very proud of their efforts and the way they represented the school. The tournament highlighted their potential, and it is exciting to see how these young teams will continue to develop in future competitions.

Well done to all involved for a fantastic day of football.
