Twelve determined runners from Years 5 and 6, six girls and six boys, took part in the Primary Schools Cross Country Championships this week. Competing in an impressive field of almost 150 girls and 150 boys, every one of our pupils ran brilliantly and showed real grit and determination.
A special congratulations goes to Izzy, who achieved an outstanding 3rd place overall in the girls’ race. An incredible performance!
We were especially proud to receive an email praising our pupils. They commented on how amazing the children were, exceptionally well behaved, giving 100% effort despite the warm weather, and showing fantastic sportsmanship by cheering on other competitors once they had finished their own races. What wonderful ambassadors for our school!
A special thank you to all the parents who helped transport us to the event and cheered on the children throughout.
