What a fantastic day we had for our annual Sports Day! With the sun shining brightly and temperatures soaring, it was one of the hottest days we've had – but that didn’t stop the children from giving it their absolute all.

From the moment the races began, there was a real buzz in the air. Whether it was sprinting, skipping, relay races or the good old-fashioned sack race, every child gave their best effort and showed great determination, teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the day. It was heartwarming to see so much encouragement and cheering from friends, families and staff, creating a wonderfully supportive atmosphere. Despite the heat, the children stayed positive, hydrated and full of energy making the morning a brilliant celebration of sport and school spirit.

A huge well done to Ashbourne, who took home the KS2 trophy this year – a fantastic achievement! Every house team should feel incredibly proud of their efforts; the level of sportsmanship and team pride on display was inspiring. Thank you to Mrs Dixon and the year 6 children who set up and organised all the races. Here’s to another amazing Sports Day – full of sunshine, smiles and superstars!
