EUROVISION!!
The best day of the year.....according to Miss Lyon!
We held our Vallajeelt Eurovision Competition on Friday 13th May which was a feast for the eyes and the ears!
Each class had chosen a country to represent, learned a song in the language of that country and then performed in the final. The class also had to learn a little bit about that country to make a short presentation to the rest of the school.
Here are the countries that were chosen:
Reception-France
Y1-South Africa
Y2-Finland
Y3-Ireland
Y4-Montenegro
Y5/6T-Spain
Y5/6D-Italy
All the classes had chosen to dress up and bring props along to enter the FULL Eurovision spirit which created an exciting vibe in Meadow Hall.
Well done to all the classes who performed brilliantly-and thanks to all the parents / carers who equipped the children with all they need.
There can only be one winner so a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Y2 who represented Finland. They totally ROCKED the hall!
Thank you to the Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl for helping with the judging and also to the staff who fully embraced the BEST DAY OF THE YEAR!!
