On Tuesday 13th February 5 teams from years 2 and 3 took part in the Primary School’s Tag Rugby Fun Festival. It was a massive event with 30 teams taking part. The festival was a chance for the teams to practise their skills in a competitive setting, with this being some children’s first experience of competing against other schools.
Each team played against 4 other schools in their pool. It was also an opportunity to learn a little more about game play as the teams were also given advice by the referees as they were playing.
All the children played with great enthusiasm and honed their skills as the games progressed. The children’s behaviour was also superb, as was the support from their parents. A huge thank to all the parents who helped transport children to the NSC as well as the 6 parents who helped with a team. We took the most children (31) from any other school on the island and we could not have done that without your help.
